WELCOME TO PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!

Maureen Doyle, of Southport, set up ‘Practice Makes Perfect’ to raise deaf awareness, introduce the Manual Alphabet, and provide easy sign language lessons to help local people and organisations, giving them the chance to learn and practice these basic communication skills.

‘Practice Makes Perfect’ was formed to provide people in the Southport area with the opportunity to develop communication skills in a friendly informal atmosphere.

The aims of the organisation are:

to introduce the concept of sign language and fingerspelling to hearing, hard of hearing, deaf and deaf-blind people
to reduce frustration and isolation
to improve general communication skills
to raise awareness of deaf awareness and lipreading skills
to provide informal opportunites for the learning and practice of sign language
